Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) set the conditions for using the to-do app “Halfwise” (the “App”) provided by andgenie Co., Ltd. (“we”). Please read them before using the App. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

Article 1 (Scope)

These Terms govern the rights and obligations between you and us regarding the App and apply to all matters related to its use.

Article 2 (Conditions of use)

• The App consists of a free version and a one-time-purchase paid feature set called “Pro”.
• The free version allows up to 10 open tasks. Pro includes unlimited open tasks, iCloud sync (iOS), a widget, reminders, full completed history and a configurable High ratio. The exact scope follows what the App and the store show.
• You need a smartphone or tablet to use the App. Any data charges are your responsibility.
• No account registration is required.

Article 3 (Purchasing Pro)

• Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It is not a subscription and does not renew automatically.
• The price is shown in the store at the time of purchase. Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) handles the purchase and payment under their own terms.
• When you change devices or reinstall, use Restore Purchases in the App's Settings with the same Apple ID or Google account to restore Pro.
• We do not handle refunds. Please request refunds from Apple or Google through their procedures.
• If Pro becomes inactive, for example after a refund, your saved data is not deleted. If you have more than 10 open tasks, you can still view, complete and delete them. Adding new tasks requires Pro.

Article 4 (Prohibited acts)

You must not:

1. decompile, reverse engineer or disassemble the App;
2. tamper with the App, or use paid features without purchasing Pro;
3. redistribute or resell the App for commercial purposes;
4. infringe the rights of third parties; or
5. violate laws or public order and morals.

Article 5 (Intellectual property)

Intellectual property rights in the App's programs, design, text and images belong to us or the rightful owners. Rights in the task content you enter belong to you.

Article 6 (Handling of data)

• Your task data is stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, it is also stored in your own iCloud.
• Data may be lost through device failure or loss, deleting the App, sync problems and similar events. Please manage important data yourself.

Article 7 (Disclaimer)

• The App is a tool to help you decide your own priorities. We do not guarantee that using it will result in completed tasks, achieved goals or business results.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of the App, or that it will be free of defects.
• We are not liable for damages arising from use of the App, except in cases of our intent or gross negligence.
• Notifications may not arrive on time depending on device settings and OS state. Do not rely on the App's notifications as the only way to remember important events.

Article 8 (Changes and termination of the service)

We may change the App or stop providing it. If we stop providing it, we will give notice in the App or on our website where possible.

Article 9 (Changes to these Terms)

We may change these Terms as needed. Changes take effect when posted on this page.

Article 10 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over any dispute arising from these Terms.
