Privacy Policy
Effective: October 8, 2026
andgenie Co., Ltd. (“we”) provides the to-do app “Halfwise” (the “App”). This policy explains how information is handled in the App.
1. Our approach
- The App has no accounts.
- The App shows no ads and includes no advertising SDKs.
- The App includes no analytics SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics) that collect usage data. To fix bugs, it sends crash and error diagnostics only, as described in Section 4-2.
- We do not use data to track you.
- We do not collect or see the contents of your tasks.
2. Information stored on your device
Task titles, notes, due dates, reminders, importance and urgency, completion status and settings are stored in a database (SQLite) on your device. They are not sent to our servers. The App works without an internet connection.
3. iCloud sync (Pro, iOS)
Only if you turn on iCloud sync with Pro, your task data is stored in your own iCloud private database (Apple's CloudKit) and synced across devices signed in with the same Apple ID. This data lives in your own space on Apple's service, and we cannot access it. Apple's privacy policy applies to how Apple handles it.
If iCloud sync is off, no data is sent to iCloud.
4. Purchase information
Pro is a one-time in-app purchase. Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive payment details such as card numbers.
To verify and restore purchases, we use the purchase management service RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.). RevenueCat receives the following:
| Information | Details | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous app user ID | A random identifier generated by RevenueCat. It is not linked to your name or email address. | Managing purchase status |
| Purchase history | Whether you bought Pro, when, and the product ID | Providing Pro features, restoring purchases |
| Device and OS information | OS type and version, app version, and similar | Validating purchases |
For how RevenueCat handles information, see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
4-2. Crash and error diagnostics
To fix bugs, the App sends diagnostic information to the crash reporting service Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) when the App crashes or an error occurs. This includes:
- Device model, OS version and App version
- The error details and stack trace (where in the code the problem happened)
We do not send the content of your tasks (titles, notes), your name or your email address. IP addresses are not stored, and no screenshots are sent. The information is used only to investigate and fix bugs. For how Sentry handles information, see the Sentry Privacy Policy.
5. Notifications
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No information is sent to us or to any third-party server for notifications. You can turn them off anytime in your device settings.
6. Android backup
On Android, Android Auto Backup may back up the App's data to your Google account. You can manage or delete backups in your device's Google settings. We cannot access this data.
7. Sharing with third parties
We do not share information with third parties except:
- with your consent,
- when required by law, or
- with RevenueCat for managing purchases, as described in Section 4,
- with Sentry for crash and error diagnostics, as described in Section 4-2.
8. Deleting your data
- On your device: deleting the App removes its data. You can also delete tasks inside the App.
- iCloud: on iOS, open Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage, choose Halfwise, and delete its data.
- Android backup: manage or delete backups in your device's Google settings.
9. Children's privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App has no feature that asks for personal information such as names or email addresses.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If there are important changes, we will announce them on this page. The updated policy takes effect when posted here.
